Christopher Valvona After studying for a Masters in English Language Teaching (ELT), I have primarily focused my research interests on appropriate methodologies for teaching English in the Japanese context. In particular, I am interested in the development of Task-based Language Teaching (TBLT) and its application in language classrooms at high school and university level. Also, during my Masters I studied in depth about English educational materials design and development, eventually writing my thesis about the cultural implications of textbooks written for a global market. I currently write textbooks and educational materials (print and digital) for both Japanese and international markets.
